How You Can Help Heart & Soul Fulfill Our Mission

Heart & Soul would not be able to aid residents through this crisis without the generous support of people like you. Once restrictions within the facilities we visit have been officially lifted, we intend to go back in and play music just like before. With your continued support, we can bring the music back into communities of isolated individuals, and bring joy, laughter, and love with us.

Spoken Faces

Heart & Soul Performers Kathy and Marianne are working on an art project, Spoken Faces. They're drawing "lyrical portraits," or portraits of people using lyrics of their favorite songs as a way to stay connected with people especially during quarantine. If you have a loved one in a care community, this would be a great gift to show you are thinking of them.

What an interesting time we are living through! Historic, even. Everyone across the Wasatch Front has gone through so many changes in a short amount of time. The effect on the care communities that Heart & Soul serves and the musicians we work with has been monumental. And yet, we know that through our community of caring, Heart & Soul can be at the frontlines of relieving isolation, especially in times like these, when it’s most needed.

Giving Tuesday is coming up in less than a week. We need your help to continue bringing music and performing arts to isolated people.

Heart & Soul stimulates and delights 28,000 people each year by producing over 1,300 live shows at convalescent homes, senior centers, hospitals, centers for children with disabilities, psychiatric facilities, domestic abuse shelters and prisons.

Open Mic and Music Rally

Friends with Heart & Soul will kick off their first Open Mic and Music Rally at Level Crossing Brewing Company, 2496 S West Temple in South Salt Lake, on Sunday September 8th from 5 to 7 PM. (4:30 PM sign up)

Invite your friends and join us for a fun evening of food, drink and live music!

The event is FREE and open to the public, 21 and older, but you can support the Music Rally and long-time friend and cancer survivor, Annette Dahlberg, by purchasing tickets for prize drawings, including getaways, restaurant deals and more. Grand Prize is a two-day Westwater rafting experience on the Colorado, courtesy of Linda Holladay and Holiday River Expeditions.
